Melinda Smith's most recent poetry books are Goodbye, Cruel (Pitt St Poetry, 2017) and Members Only, with artist Caren Florance (Recent Work Press, 2017). She won the 2014 Prime Minister's Literary Award for Drag down to unlock or place an emergency call and her work has been widely anthologised and translated into multiple languages. She is based in the ACT and is a former poetry editor of the Canberra Times. Occasionally she also translates poetry from Japanese. She has a new chapbook and a new full-length collection out shortly.
