The texture of truth

"A poet's job is not to play fast and loose with the facts of this world"- John Berryman

Or is it? Can poetry be true? What kind of truth, if any, does it reveal? Does poetry merely re-present the world, or is it way of knowing the world, a form of knowledge in itself?

In this panel, four poets tackle the big questions about poetic representation and knowledge.
