Well-Known Corners of the People

Vinyl and Fleece

by
Charis

I am at home, curled

in my yellow blankets

of gentle fleece as

easy autumn sun shines through the window

my green vinyl chair

is aged and worn

but holds me well

its arms are arms around me

my vinyl and fleece

feign in me

eyes of clearest stars

and sleeping mouse’s heart

at home, I can forget

and live without regret

for what I did

to you.
